Branok brings together the rhythm of drums and handpan (Leon) with Marina’s voice, Balkan roots, and their shared multi-instrumental soundscape work. Their music draws from Celtic, Slavic, and Balkan traditions while shaping something new — a blend of folk-inspired songs, trance-like atmospheres, and hypnotic sound journeys.
The name Branok is inspired by the RAVEN — a messenger in Celtic and Slavic myth associated with insight, transformation, and crossing between worlds. “Bran” echoes the Celtic word for raven, while “-ok” carries a Slavic resonance and hints at OKO (“eye”), suggesting vision and intuitive seeing.
Branok is where ancestral rhythm meets modern acoustic storytelling.

Branok brengt de ritmes van drums en handpan (Leon) samen met Marina’s stem, Balkanse wortels en hun gezamenlijke werk met multi-instrumentale soundscapes. Hun muziek haalt inspiratie uit Keltische, Slavische en Balkanse tradities, terwijl het tegelijk iets nieuws vormt — een mix van door folk geïnspireerde liederen, tranceachtige sferen en hypnotische klankreizen.
De naam Branok is geïnspireerd door de raaf — een boodschapper uit de Keltische en Slavische mythologie, verbonden met inzicht, transformatie en het reizen tussen werelden. “Bran” verwijst naar het Keltische woord voor raaf, terwijl “-ok” een Slavische klank draagt en subtiel verwijst naar oko (“oog”), wat visie en intuïtief zien oproept.
Branok is waar voorouderlijke ritmes moderne akoestische verhalen ontmoeten.
